2014 LAKE FORMOSA ANNUAL CLEANUP SUNDAY APRIL 6TH- 12P-2P

The 2014 Lake Formosa Cleanup Sunday April 6th is from 12PM – 2PM

We will be meeting in the parking lot next to the Lochaven Neighborhood Center, 610 North Lake Formosa.

We are partnering once again with Keep Orlando Beautiful, who will be providing trash bags and collection equipment and water.

Contact Emily at e_eade@hotmail.com if you want to volunteer.

Ivanhoe Spruce Up – June 23

Ivanhoe Village Main Street is teaming with Green Up Orlando, Keep Orlando Beautiful, and Summit Church to clean and green the Loch Haven Neighborhood Center and surrounding neighborhoods. We’ll be planting, mulching, painting, sprucing up — and having lots of fun! Water, light snacks and all needed supplies are provided.

We’re going to need your help! All ages may participate. This is a great family volunteer activity and students may earn community service hours. No children under 14 may participate without direct adult supervision. Those between 14 and 18 attending without their parent must have a signed minor release form from parent or legal guardian. A form may be requested and brought with child the day of the event.

Volunteer spots are limited and fill quickly, and you must register by June 20. Call Jody Buyas of Keep Orlando Beautiful at 407.246.2752 or e-mail her at jody.buyas@cityoforlando.net. Looking forward to a great turnout from the neighborhood!

Graffiti Reporting and Removal

Lately there have been some incidents of graffiti in the neighborhood. Call the Graffiti Reporting and Removal Hotline at 407-254-4723. Managed by Keep Orlando Beautiful, this hotline streamlines the process for graffiti removal. Residents can also report graffiti online at cityoforlando.net/public_works/graffiti/Graffiti.aspx

They are in! A special thanks to Michael Jungen, Brian Beery, Gary
Simpson, and Philip and Erika Hueneke for helping to install our
beautiful new signs.

In addition, thank you to Grant Heston for providing drinks and snacks
for our installation. I would also like to thank Kathie Skrobiak for
her eagle-eyed ability to locate the tiny missing washer.

Pictures will be forthcoming along with additional information about
the installation process.

Enjoy the signs!
