Kick off event for SUN RAIL

You are invited to attend the kick-off event for SunRail! On behalf of the members of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission, you are cordially invited to attend a special community celebration for SunRail on Monday, July 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Florida Hospital’s main Orlando Campus at the intersection of E. Rollins St. and Sanitarium Avenue, in support of Florida Hospital’s future station stop. The event will feature United States Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff and Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad as they sign the Full Funding Grant Agreement that funds the federal share of the cost to build Phase 1 of SunRail; Central Florida’s first-ever commuter rail system. The event will also focus on recognizing the historic regional collaboration that has made SunRail possible and include remarks from U.S. Representative John Mica, U.S. Representative Corrine Brown and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. Please join us to celebrate the creation of this once-in-a-generation transportation project for all of Central Florida.

Two parking garages at Florida Hospital are available for event participants:

* The Alden Parking Garage: Turn on Alden from Princeton Street

* The McRae Parking Garage: Accessible from Orange Avenue
